PTI Stock Yard Sand, Gravel & Rock Product Line

We have selected sand, gravel, and rock products that we feel will best suit our community, family, and friends. These products are ideal for a number of projects and areas.

Beach Sand

This soft beach-like sand is a byproduct of crushing and screening bigger rocks and raw topsoil. Throughout this process, it creates very small, smooth and fine peices that create a "soft" end product. This result makes it perfect for arenas, corrals, and even sandboxes!

Paver Sand

Paver sand is perfect for filling gaps, preventing weed growth and insect mounds. It will set up and harden to fill the space inbetween pavers, and steps. This sand has very small rock pieces that bind up against each other to create that hardened surface. This product is ideal for sidewalks and bordering your walkways and house.

3/8" Crushed Gravel

3/8" crushed gravel is crushed rock that have passed through a 3/8" square screen. The crushing process creates a very angular, yet slightly smooth finished product. The resulting material will range in size from 1/8" up to 3/8". This gravel works great in dry landscaping, gardens, and around porches.

3/4" Crushed Gravel

3/4" crushed gravel is crushed rocks which have filtered through a 3/4" square screen. The crushing process results in an angular finished product. The resulting material will predominantly range in size from 1/2" up to 3/4". This type of gravel works best to fill in holes in your driveway, cleaning up your flowerbeds and pathways.

3/4" Roadbase

Road Base is used in landscaping and hardscaping when installing very solid foundations for flagstone, paving stones, pavers, interlocking pavers and decomposed granite pathways. Easy to get heavy compaction with, Road Base is excellent for base applications in landscape construction projects. Made from a mixture of different sizes of crushed hard rock from 3/4" down to concrete sand.

1" River Rock

Our river rock is colorful without too much white coloring. Even though it's screened to keep 1" or smaller and to filter out the dirt, it isn't run through a crusher. This helps to keep the rocks smooth and mostly round. This river rock is ideal for decorative landscapes, bordering your garden and house.

2" River Rock

The 2" river rock is very similar to the 1". The main difference is that these have been screened to keep the rock between 1" and 2". River rock is more colorful and smooth than gravel, since it never goes through the crushing process that the gravel goes through. This larger rock looks great when it is used around flower beds, garden beds, and walkways.

River Cobble Rock

Like our river rock, our cobble rock adds color to your landscape without the “whiteout” effect you get from crushed rock. Cobble rock is run through a series of screens to keep rock sizes between 2” and 4”, while filtering out the smaller rock and sand.

Screened Pit Run

A mix of dirt and rock that goes through a screening process to keep rocks predominately 2" or less. Pit run is perfect for a base when setting fence posts. You can even use it as a base for a site that will hold a lot of weight, such as a fireplace in your backyard.

Black Lava Rock

Black lava rock is exaclty what it sounds like, it is black volcanic rock that can replace your mulch in your landscaping! This rock is lightweight and easy to move around, but will hold up over time against the weather, foot traffic and even vehicles. The color won't fade and it won't start to breakdown like mulch does if it gets wet.

Raw Top Soil

Raw topsoil is the top layer of soil, and it doesn't get screened or processed. Because it doesn't go through the same screening that other products do, thi topsoil has various materials in it. With raw topsoil it's possible that you will get roots, vegetation, and rock in your product, which makes this the perfect solution for filling in large construction sites, and holes in your landscaping.

Screened Top Soil

Screened topsoil is raw topsoil that has been put through a screening process to separate the pure topsoil from the bigger debris like rocks and vegetation. This nutrient rich topsoil is ideal for gardens, flowerbeds, and makes a great base layer for grass seed.

Improved Top Soil

Improved top soil is our very own blend of high-quality materials, to give you the best possible end product for your gardens, lawns and flowerbeds. This blend of top soil is nutrient dense, and airy due to the amount of mixing that we do. We thoroughly mix our screened top soil, soil prep conditioner, and compost to ensure that you have the best product, that will give you the best yeild in your planting.

Soil Prep Container

Soil prep conditioner helps alleviate the possible nitrogen depletion that may occur with some varieties of plants. Organics feed the plants while improving soil structure which aids in water retention, drainage, and helps reduce weed infestations. You can use this conditioner in the late fall in addition to mulch for your perennial flowers and roses to give them an extra layer of winter protection.

Chicken Compost

Chicken compost is extremely beneficial to plants that need extra nitrogen and nutrients like iron, potassium, calcium, zinc and many others. Chicken compost also helps with water retention, and drainage, and plants that need a little more help like peppers, rhubarb, squash and pole beans will love this compost addition to your garden.

Box Garden Mix

Box garden mix accelerates growth and will increase your plants yield. This is a unique mix of compost, coconut coir along with some peat moss to create a balanced pH blend with vitamins, nutrients and minerals. Box garden mix is ideal for raised planters, herbs and vegetables, and even flowers!

Dark Brown Mulch

Dark brown mulch is created from recycled wood and dried tree trimmings, after the wood is shredded, it is sent through a screening process to get rid of anything too large or foreign. This mulch is dyed with color that is non-toxic, making it safe for your plants, family and animals. You can use mulch to help with water retention, and plant protection from heat and cold.

Natural Mulch

Natural mulch is made from primarily pine trees and trimmings, is goes through a shredding and screening process to eliminate unwanted materials. This mulch color will fade over time since it hasn't been dyed a specific color. This natural mulch can create a weed barrier that naturally breaks down and works itself into the soil, creating an organic layer that will help your plants thrive.

Medium Brown Bark

This medium brown bark is a beautiful and natural finish for your landscaping. Douglas Fire bark is screened so that anything from 1" to 2 1/2" is what ends up here in our yard. Creating a clean, manicured look isn't the only thing this bark does, it helps to reduce evaporation, which in turn helps to save water. It also helps to reduce weeds, and protects plant roots from changes in the weather.

Rubber Mulch

Rubber mulch is made from recycled rubber that can be used for play areas, gardens and even landscaping! It gives play areas a safe ground layer, and aids your garden and landscaping in reducing weeds, saving water and protecting roots from fluctuating weather.
